Getting IDO Home found on ChatGPT
So the whole opportunity is one sentence: you hold 2.5% of the non-branded organic clicks in your category, and every extra 1% is worth about $25,600 a year. Your branded traffic is not part of this and does not change.
Built on your own numbers: an average order value of $1,405 and a non-branded conversion rate of 0.33% today, rising to 0.55% as the collection pages get rebuilt. Every column below is non-branded, and your $206,370 of branded organic revenue sits on top of all of it, unchanged. If your conversion rate climbs past 0.55% as the site and the brand strengthen, every figure here moves up with it. Modelled, plus or minus 40%

We score every brand out of 100 against our AEO Maturity Model: four pillars (Technical, Content, Authority, Measurement), each out of 25. Certified is 80 out of 100, Professional on all four, the standard we build clients to. You are at 35 today.
The detailed findings, how the scoring works, and where every number comes from are in the appendix.
Furniture is a high-consideration purchase with a long research window. Buyers measure, compare and second-guess, and they now ask the same questions in two places, a search box and an AI chat. The demand is large, the difficulty is unusually low, and you already appear across almost all of it.

Search volume from Ahrefs and SEMrush, NZ, August 2026; we use the lower Ahrefs figure throughout. Difficulty is Ahrefs KD out of 100. Your rank is your current average Google position from Search Console. The pattern is consistent: you have a collection page for every one of these, the difficulty is 0 to 3 on most of them, and you are on page two or beyond. The full 80-term research is in The data tab. Ahrefs + SEMrush GSC
Zoom out and the category is about 98,600 searches a month once the long tail is counted, of which roughly 27,600 a month are winnable organic clicks. On the AI side, we mapped 133 buyer questions across your categories: what size rug for a living room, what height bar stool for a 900mm bench, what outdoor furniture lasts in the New Zealand climate. You have published nothing that answers any of them, and neither has anyone else here, so the answers get assembled from whoever wrote them down.
The table in the executive summary is built from four numbers, all of them yours, and all of them non-branded. Here is the chain in full.
That last sliver is 8,332 clicks. About 28% of searches survive ads, shopping carousels and AI answers as a winnable organic click, and you currently take one in forty of those. Modelled
Each non-branded click is worth $5.73 to you today, because non-branded search converts at 0.33% on an order value of $1,405. Once the collection pages are rebuilt and converting properly, a click is worth $7.73. Both of those figures are measured on your own store, and the second is still below the 1.01% your branded traffic already converts at.
That is the whole model: win more of the 331,440 clicks, and be worth more per click when you do.
The mid case arriving: certified by month 3, the system handed to you at month 6, all of it live by month 12. Hover any point for the maths. Modelled, directional
Two levers, both measured. Click-through on the impressions you already get: 366,665 a year at 2.27% today, rising to between 3.5% and 6.0% as you come off page two. And more impressions, growing 25% to 150% as the 58 topics with no page worth ranking start to rank. The conservative case assumes only the first lever really lands; the high case assumes both do.
Every figure here is non-branded and excludes repeat purchases, which sit on top as roughly another 15%. Total organic run-rate is your unchanged $206,370 of branded revenue plus the non-branded column in the executive summary table.
A done-for-you AI and Search transformation over six months, built and run on our side so there is nothing for your team to learn or maintain. It moves through three phases: foundations (schema on your collection pages, meta descriptions, page titles that target the terms you want, answer-first structure, your baseline), owning your territories (rebuilding all 68 collection pages from bare listings into pages that deserve to rank, then around 100 to 150 content pieces across the six months, with production starting as soon as everything is calibrated to your tone of voice and brand guidelines), and authority and compounding (the review-site placements, round-ups and citations AI trusts, lifting a Domain Rating of 3.4 that currently caps everything above it). We move into each phase as your site is ready for it rather than on a stopwatch. Behind it, we are building the platform you will own, exclusively for Shopify brands. Everything is yours to keep: the foundations, the content, the links and your AI-Ready certification.

Green rows are what a search and AI strategy touches. Organic Search splits $206,370 branded / $47,778 non-branded, and only the second figure is growable. The AI Assistant row is new in GA4 and is the cleanest possible starting baseline for this work. Shopify's own attribution agrees with GA4 on organic to within 7%. GA4

Search Console withholds rare queries for privacy. Of the 17,589 clicks, 10,836 sit in named queries and 6,753 in anonymised ones; anonymised queries are by definition long-tail, and branded terms number only 195 in total, so the anonymised bucket is counted as non-branded. A 38% click-through rate on branded terms is navigational behaviour, someone finding a site they already know. GSC
| Pillar | Score | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Technical | 15/25 | Your strongest pillar, and most of it is Shopify's doing. Product pages carry valid Product, Offer and Brand markup. Your robots.txt welcomes AI crawlers, llms.txt is present, and the agentic commerce endpoints (/agents.md, /.well-known/ucp) are live and responding. What is missing sits on top: collection pages carry only a breadcrumb, with no ItemList or FAQ markup, and no page is written answer-first. |
| Content | 5/25 | The weakest pillar and the biggest opportunity. Zero articles published. Two content pages in total, and the About page has no H1 and no meta description. Collection pages have no subheadings and, on Bedside Tables, Coffee Tables and Rugs, no meta description at all. Titles are bare category names: "Rugs", "Sofas", "Bedside Tables". No keyword research, prompt research or topic clusters exist. |
| Authority | 10/25 | Domain Rating 3.4, with 685 live backlinks from 221 referring domains. The referring domains are a foundation, but the rating says those links carry little weight. Every tracked competitor sits higher, from Urban Sales at 18 to Mocka at 47. Nothing suggests an active link, digital PR or citation programme. |
| Measurement | 5/25 | GA4, Search Console and Shopify analytics are installed and working, which is table stakes and does not lift this score. What is missing is the use of them: no organic-channel reporting rhythm, no captured baseline, and nothing tracking whether AI engines mention or cite you. |

The row worth studying is Urban Sales. Domain Rating 18, which is low, and they still pull an estimated 54,500 organic visits a month off 2,629 ranking keywords. Authority is not what separates you from them. Ranking keywords are, and those come from having pages worth ranking. Authority still matters, because a Domain Rating of 3.4 caps how high any single page can climb, which is why the link and citation work runs from day one rather than at the end.
Ahrefs estimates 296 organic visits a month for idohome.co.nz, while your Search Console shows roughly 1,466 clicks a month. Ahrefs undercounts small New Zealand sites, so nothing in the money model is built on it; it is used only for search volumes, difficulty and like-for-like competitor comparison. Ahrefs
